An AI Imaging Tool for Cotton Yield Prediction

AgriView CottonYield icon

About the tool

Cotton yield is predicted from images of defoliated cotton, just prior to harvest. Standing in the cotton or from the cab, take a picture of the cotton plants from about head or shoulder height. Upload your image here, then crop out the horizon and excessive foreground/background content. You will be directed to a report page displaying your results.

This application was developed by Clemson University’s Center for Agricultural Technology (CU-CAT) in collaboration with University of Georgia’s Bugwood Institute. Thank you to the South Carolina Cotton Board for funding support, putting cotton farmers’ dollars to work for cotton farmers!

With gratitude for the individuals who have stewarded their talents and gifts with creativity and dedication in this collaborative effort, carried out in service to others and to the farming community: Sai Dasari, Benjamin Fogle, Jeremy Greene, Kendall Kirk, Joe Laforest, Mike Marshall, Trey McAlhany, Fleming McMaster, and Dan Robinson.
